Carving Pumpkins

I am not posting in correct order...just what I feel like at the time...

We carved our jack-o-lanterns on Sunday night. This is the first year that we bought the tools/idea book. I was not expecting much but they really made it easy to carve.

We removed the "guts" outside before we started our fire (post coming soon). The lighting was horrible because of the time of day.

They turned out great. Brooke carved the face, JD did the spider web and I did the bats. The kids were so excited to see them all lit up.

Busy, Busy

So I am about to take Kylie to dance, pick up the boys, pick Kylie back up from dance and then take her to children's choir...

I have SEVERAL posts to make...the boys went to the pumpkin patch with their school, we went to the Memphis Zoo, we carved jack-o-lanterns, JD and Kylie made a fire pit and we had a hot dog/smores roast. I hope to post at least one tonight.

Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch after church on Sunday. They boys are going to one this week (if rain doesn't cancel) so we went to a different one as a family. Brooke went with us and we all had a great time!

Family Cookout

We went to JD's aunt and uncle's in Vilonia for a cookout Saturday afternoon. The kids had a fantastic time playing. It was a nice afternoon and we enjoyed visiting with family...we stay busy and it was great to just relax for a few hours!

More Haircuts

The last few days have been interesting...

Thursday at work I felt crappy. I thought I was just tired as I have been up late working on homework and other things. I just kept feeling worse and worse throughout the day. Finally right around 3:00 I took my temperature. It was 101.6. What?? I NEVER have a fever. I can't tell you the last time I had one. So, I quickly packed up my things and went to get Kylie from school. When I got home I took it again...102.3...I really was sick. I took some medicine and promptly went to bed and JD came home from work early. Friday morning I still wasn't feeling great so JD got all the kids up and ready and got them to school...ON TIME! I am super proud of him for helping. Really, he helps me all of the time and I don't have to ask!

Kylie and I had a hair appointment Friday afternoon. I thought about canceling but I was feeling better after sleeping all Friday morning and it takes FOREVER to get an appointment. So, we went. You can't tell from the picture but Kylie got between 3-4 inches cut off and has some long layers. It looks so good! And, it will be easier to wash, brush, straighten...everything!
